What Happened

Missouri Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured multiple people at I-29 in Buchanan County, MO on January 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a semi-truck operated by 32-year-0ld Jonathan Nichols attempted to go around a vehicle moving at a lower rate of speed. Investigators say the truck hit the vehicle, operated by 26-year-old Sharice Scott, and veered from the road into a guardrail before overturning. Scott and four passengers, including 20-year-old Jeanice Ross, were all hospitalized with minor injuries. Nichols was not injured. Additional information was not available.
