Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at James River Fwy in Springfield, MO on January 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. According to investigators a Dodge Ram traveling the wrong direction collided head-on with a Ford Expedition. The Expedition had eight occupants, according to investigators, who were all Texas residents. Three of the passengers were killed. They were identified as 69-year-old Sharon Farmer, 45-year-old Ukena Farmer and 61-year-old Stephen Figgins. One passenger and the driver had minor injures. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 65-year-old Steven Jordan was also injured. Officers allege intoxication played a role in the crash. Additional information was not available.
