Kansas City Police are investigating a hit-and-run that killed a teen at I-29 and NW 72nd St in Kansas City, MO on June 14th, 2023. Police say it happened just past 9:30 p.m. According to investigators, a teen was allegedly walking in or near a construction zone when they were struck by a southbound semi-truck. Following the collision, police say the truck involved did not stop and continued traveling south bound. The teen was taken to an area hospital with suspected serious injuries that he died from on June 18th. Additional information was not available.
