What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a person at Hwy 36 near Meadville, MO on July 11th, 2022. Police say the incident involved a MoDOT truck in a construction zone being struck by a commercial truck in the rear.  The impact caused the truck driver, 37-year-old Zachary Swindler, to be ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The other driver, 23-year-old Garet Scott, was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
