Nebraska State Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at Hwy 385 in North Platte, NE on November 13th, 2024. Officials are saying a Chevrolet Express van was southbound before alleged failing to stop in time to avoid colliding with a Ford F-150 ahead, stopped for cattle in the roadway. Authorities say the van collided with the Ford while attempting to change lanes, the impact seriously injuring 65-year-old driver, Kim Wills. Police say Wills was hospitalized with injuries she died from while the van operator, 21-year-old Daniel Flores, was arrested on motor vehicle homicide and carless driving charges, according to reports.
