What Happened

Area authorities identified the person killed in a crash at US 281 near Red Cloud, NE on October 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 11:15 a.m. and involved semi-trucks. One, operated by 59-year-old Timothy Skipworth, was reportedly slowing to make a u-turn when the truck behind it was able to safely pass. A third truck was not able to stop in time and struck Skipworth's truck as it started the turn. Skipworth was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured.
