What Happened

Nevada Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-80 in Elko County, NV on July 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:35 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 60-year-old Curtis Vernon Okelberry reportedly suffered a tire blowout, causing it to lost control and veer from the road. It then crossed a center median before overturning. Okelberry suffered fatal injures in the crash.
