What Happened

State Police are investigating a collision that killed a woman at I-80 near Elko, NV on June 18th, 2022. Police say the incident involved a tractor-trailer headed westbound on I-80 performing a lane change to pass a slow moving vehicle ahead. The truck is said to have changed into a lane occupied by a Toyota Corolla operated by 40-year-old Jessica Duncan. The Toyota reportedly veered left in an attempt to avoid a collision. The Corolla then overcorrected and veered from the road, overturning in the process. Duncan was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
