What Happened

Nevada Highway Patrol officials identified the person killed in a collision at I-80 near Fernley, NV on September 4th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. A Mitsubishi operated by 40-year-old Sae Kim reportedly lost control and veered from the interstate, overturning. Kim is said to have exited the vehicle and was on-foot in the eastbound lanes when a tractor-trailer approached. Kim was struck by the truck and suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
