Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Route 1 in Lawrence Twp, NJ on October 11th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:55 a.m. 54-year-old Maria Moreira was reportedly crossing the road when she was struck by a tractor-trailer that left the scene. Moreira suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not immediately available. The driver of the truck, 54-year-old Frank Claybrooks, was later located and arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and endangering an injured victim.
