What Happened

State Police identified the two people killed in a collision on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woolwich, NJ on January 18th, 2023. Officials say it happened around 4 p.m. According to investigators, a van is alleged to have struck the rear of a tanker truck while merging onto the turnpike. The impact caused the van to veer from the road and flip into a ravine, killing its occupants. The victims were identified as 29-year-old Bryan Matos-Gonzalez and 24-year-old Jansel Lopez.
