State Police are investigating a collision that killed a woman at New Jersey Turnpike in Carneys Point Twp, NJ on April 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer headed northbound on the turnpike swerved left onto the shoulder to avoid crashing into a disabled vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle reportedly belonged to 53-year-old Jeanne M. Wurth, who was standing near the vehicle on the left shoulder when she was struck by the truck and suffered fatal injuries.
