What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at State Rd 128 near Jal, NM on November 9th, 2022. Police say the incident involved two pickup trucks and commercial truck colliding. Investigators believe one of the pickup trucks, operated by 18-year-old Francisco Saenz Hinojos was headed eastbound on NM 1287 before crossing into an opposite lane for unknown reasons and colliding head-on with a commercial truck headed westbound. That truck struck a Ford F-250 headed eastbound. Hinojos was killed in the collision. The driver of the commercial truck was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the Ford F-250 were not injured. Additional details were not available.
