What Happened

State Police identified one of the two men killed in a two vehicle crash at State Rd 529 near Maljamar, NM on April 19th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. and involved a van and semi-truck colliding under unclear circumstances. 42-year-old Juan S. Martinez-Garcia died at the scene. The driver of the van, unidentified, also died at the scene. An 18-year-old passenger in the truck was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
