State Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at W 2nd St and S Ave C in Portales, NM on April 14th, 2023. Officials are saying it happened around 9:20 p.m. According to investigators, a small sedan and passenger bus were involved in a collision that occurred under circumstances. The occupant of the sedan, identified as Martha Lozano, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. The bus driver, identified as 55-year-old Lisa Poitras was arrested on a charge of homicide by motor vehicle. Additional information was not available.
