State Police are investigating a crash that killed a cyclist at Bruckner Blvd in Bronx, NY on May 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:55 p.m. Investigators say a bicycle operated by 53-year-old Carlos Martinez was on the road near 136th St when, according to video of the incident, he was squeezed by  a tow truck as it passed. The area had been narrowed due to construction barriers, leaving little room for passing. Martinez reportedly fell under the truck and was struck by wheels connected to a vehicle being towed by the truck. The impact left Martinez with serious injured that he died from shortly after arrival to an area hospital. The tow truck reportedly initially fled the scene. Additional information was not provided.
