New York State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Route 8 and County Route 25 in Columbus, NY on December 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer making a right turn onto Route 8 is said to have been struck from the rear by a van under unclear circumstances. A passenger in the van, identified as 22-year-old Jasmine Morrison, was killed in the crash. The driver of the van, 24-year-old Tyler Stewart, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
