What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Central Ave and Nameoke Ave in Queens, NY on March 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9 a.m. Investigators say a box truck operated by 42-year-old Freddy Saquisili collided with a 73-year-old man in a wheelchair crossing the road. Police say the man became trapped within the truck and was dragged along for several feet before the truck came to a stop. Saquisili remained at the scene while the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
