What Happened

State Police have confirmed the name of the person killed in a multi-vehicle crash at State Route 96A and County Rd 129 in Lodi, NY on January 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a northbound Honda CR-V approached the intersection. Police say witnesses described the Honda coming to stop at the stop sign before proceeding into the intersection into the path of an approaching tow-truck. The Honda was pushed into a ditch while the propane truck that was being towed by the tow truck detached and also landed in a ditch. The driver of the CR-V, identified as 79-year-old Mary Church, suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not available as the investigation continues.
