What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Central Ave and Palmetto St in Brooklyn, NY on June 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:45 a.m. According to investigators, a box truck was headed southbound when it turned left on Palmetto Street. A southbound electric scooter traveling in a bike lane is said to have collided with the truck during the turn, ejecting the 49-year-old rider from the bike. That individual was also struck by either the box truck or the bike after ejection and taken to an area hospital with injuries they died from. Additional information was not available.
