What Happened

Nassau County Sheriff's Office officials are investigating a crash that left six people injured at Newbridge Rd and Falcon St in North Bellmore, NY on May 25th, 2023. Police say the incident involved a tractor-trailer striking the side of a school bus. Following the initial collision, the truck continued strain before colliding with seven other vehicles and overturning into a parking lot. Police say two children and four adults were hospitalized with injuries believed to be minor in nature. A student on the bus was also treated for minor injuries at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 56-year-old Maxwell Taylor, was arrested on two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. Additional information was not available.
