New York State Police are investigating a crash that injured a man at Veterans Memorial Hwy in Islandia, NY on July 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:33 a.m. 79-year-old Stephen Sherman was operating a Nissan Altima that veered from the road and collided with the rear of a disabled tractor-trailer parked in shoulder with active hazard lights. Sherman was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
