New York State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-86 in Big Flats, NY on April 23rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Investigators believe a vehicle operated by 76-year-old Eduard Edelshteyn was headed westbound before allegedly crossing lanes of traffic and collided with a disabled tractor-trailer. Officials say the tractor-trailer was parked in a northbound shoulder at the time. Two people in the passenger vehicle were killed in the collision. Edelshteyn and another passenger, identified as Alla Fedosova, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
