North Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-40 in Duplin County, NC on October 13th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5 a.m. A pickup truck operated by 35-year-old Cedric Rogers was stopped in an outside lane when it was struck by a UPS tractor-trailer. Rogers suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The driver of the UPS truck was treated for minor injuries.
