What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Hwy 42 near Buffalo Rd in Clayton, NC on September 13th, 2021. Police say it happened around 10:15 a.m. and involved a box truck colliding with the rear of an empty dump truck slowing to make a turn into a construction area. The box truck become lodged with the dump truck and was dragged from the road, pinning the driver. Once free, he was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
