North Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a man at NC 39 and Earpsboro Rd in Johnson County, NC on February 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. A moped operated by a 28-year-old man was headed northbound NC 39 when it reportedly pulled into the path of a tractor-trailer. The vehicles collided and the moped driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
