State Police are investigating a collision that killed one person involved at NC Hwy 39 in Johnston County, NC on April 9th, 2024. Authorities are saying it happened around 5 p.m. Initial reports indicate a Nissan Sentra allegedly crossed a center line prior to colliding head-on with a Freightliner hauling diesel fuel. Reports indicate the driver of the Nissan, identified as 42-year-old Quentin Peter Greear, was fatally injured.
