North Carolina Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 220 in Madison, NC on July 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:50 p.m. A tractor-trailer headed southbound reportedly attempted a u-turn when it collided with a northbound vehicle occupied by 76-year-old Sharon Stephens-McCandless.
