Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured people at US Route 35 in Jefferson Twp, OH on August 14th, 2024. Police believe the incident happened around 2:02 p.m. According to investigators, a truck trailer is said to have suffered a tire blowout that caused the vehicle to leave eastbound lanes and enter westbound lanes. There, police say the vehicle collided with a Dodge Caravan, the impact causing the truck to overturn. Following the initial crash, reports say the truck was struck by an approaching Lincoln MKC. A Jeep Cherokee was also involved in the collision, reports say. Sources indicate the driver of the truck, identified as Abdullahi Aden, was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries. Officials say at least one occupant of the Dodge was also hospitalized with minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
