Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-71 in Mifflin Twp, OH on May 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep occupied by 18-year-old Allison M McCort and 25-year-old Evan N. Friend is said to have lost control for unknown reasons before veering into southbound lanes. It was struck by a semi-truck and pushed into a guardrail before catching fire. Both McCort and Friend suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
