What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at State Route 191 in Williams County, OH on July 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:45 p.m. A Dodge minivan headed northbound stopped at a stop sign and began to pull forward. As it did, the van was struck by a semi-truck. A passenger in the Dodge, 35-year-old Angela Barkell, died at the scene. Two other occupants, including a child, were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver, 37-year-old Cheston Barkell, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
