State Police are investigating a crash involving a school bus that killed a child near Dayton, OH on August 22nd, 2023. Officials believe the incident involved a Honda Odyssey minivan that allegedly veered left of center before colliding with a loaded school bus. The bus is said to have veered from the roadway and overturned, leaving one child with fatal injuries at the scene. 22 other children were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. An additional child was hospitalized with more serious injuries, according to sources. The bus driver, identified as 68-year-old Alfred Collier and van operator, 35-year-old Hermanio Joseph, were also injured. A 37-year-old passenger in the van, Roberto Mompremier, also had injuries.
