What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed one persona t I-90 in Euclid, OH on October 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Compass was involved in a collision with a GMC pickup. Following the collision, police say the driver of the Jeep, 51-year-old Donald Ray Mills Thompson, was standing outside and near the vehicle as an eastbound Chevrolet Equinox approached. Police say that vehicle struck the rear of the Jeep, pushing it into Thompson before it also struck the GMC. The collision caused Thompson fatal injuries while the GMC operator was uninjured, according to reports. Officials say the Equinox operator was hospitalized with n0n-life-threatening injuries and had no additional information to share.
