What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed one person at I-75 and Dryden Rd in Moraine, OH on April 20th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 a.m. Investigators say 20-year-old Emily Ryan was standing near a vehicle that was disabled in a construction area of the road. The vehicle was in a right lane of travel and officials say the area did not have a shoulder area for the vehicle to park or move to safety. Police say Ryan was struck by a full-size pickup truck while standing outside the disabled vehicle, suffering fatal injuries at the scene. The vehicle involved did not remain at the scene and authorities are searching for the vehicle and driver involved.
