What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that injured a man at I-80 in Liberty Twp, OH on April 18th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. According to police, a minivan operated by 61-year-old Gideon Itenberg was headed eastbound on I-80 in a left lane while an SUV operate by 75-year-old Conrad Kalb was in the right lane. Also in the right lane was a tractor-trailer operated by 53-year-old Marcelo Guaita. The van reportedly lost control and crossed into the right lane, striking the SUV and veering into a guardrail. Itenberg was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
