Mercer County Sheriff's Office officials are investing a crash that killed two people at State Route 49 in Fort Recovery, OH on September 29th, 2022. Police are saying the incident happened around 1:35 p.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck is said to have missed a stop sign before it was struck by a second vehicle. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle died at the scene. They were identified as 42-year-old Karen Bucklew and 24-year-old Tommy Yaqub. The truck driver, only identified as Anil, was not injured and arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide. Additional information was not immediately available.
