What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at Route 49 in Darke County, OH on July 20th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet van operated by 43-year-old Mark Snider was headed northwest on Route 49 when it reportedly crossed a center line into oncoming traffic. It then collided with a tractor-trailer operated by 25-year-old Abakar Addji. Snider and his passenger, identified as 11-year-old Syncere Snider, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Addji was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
