What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 62 and County Rd 187 in Paint Two, OH on September 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened as a GMC SUV pulled into the path of a semi-truck, both vehicles colliding head-on. The impact pushed the truck onto its side into a utility pole which caused power lines to land onto the truck. Both the SUV driver and a passenger required emergency extrication from the vehicle and both were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the semi-truck, identified as 71-year-old Richard Hunsinger, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Additional information was not immediately available.
