What Happened

Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Route 2 in Huron, OH on July 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:04 p.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Traverse, pushing it into the rear of the vehicle ahead of it. They add both the Traverse and the other vehicle, a Ford F-350 with an attached trailer, were both behind a vehicle moving at a slower rate of speed at the time. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 74-year-old Virginia Doyle, was killed in the crash. The other drivers involved are said to have been uninjured. Police say they do not currently suspect alcohol in the crash and had no additional information to share.
