Ohio State Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Route 39 in Sugarcreek, OH on November 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 11:33 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Econoline Van operated by 62-year-old William Rienerth Jr, was headed eastbound. Also headed eastbound was a garbage truck operated by 28-year-old Scott Conley. Sources indicate the van was slowing to turn left onto Shelter Road before it was rear-ended by the garbage truck for unclear reasons. Sources say Rienerth was thrown from the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries at the scene. Conley was allegedly uninjured. Authorities had no additional information not available.
