What Happened

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials have named the person killed in a collision at US 259 in McCurtain County, OK on March 3rd, 2022. They say the incident happened around 1:51 and describe it involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and semi-truck. Investigators say the Tahoe was headed northbound on US-259 when it allegedly crossed a center line and collided with the semi-truck. The Tahoe is said to have veered from the road following the collision into nearby deep water and the driver, 42-year-old Brandon Ladell Roberts, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drier, 33-year-old Demorcus Deonte Atkins, was not injured. Additional details were not available.
