What Happened

A multi-vehicle crash left two people with fatal injuries at I-35 near Davis, OK on April 12th, 2023. Police say it happened around 12:15 p.m. and involved as many as seven vehicles. Initial investigation suggests the vehicles were in a construction zone area that was congested with heavy traffic at the time. One of the vehicles involved, a tractor-trailer, is alleged to have failed to control its speed, colliding with the other vehicles in a chain-reaction style crash. Two occupants of the Honda were pinned in the vehicle following the collision for as many as five hours. Both individuals, including Conrad Rogers, died at the scene. One of the other drivers was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the suspect truck, identified as 38-year-old Tony Chinedum Aghaji-Enweremadu, was also treated for injuries and later released. They add that he was arrested on two counts of first degree manslaughter. Additional details are not available at this time.
