What Happened

Area authorities are investigating an incident that injured a driver at State Rd 91 in Cartwright, OK on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened when a vehicle operated by 22-year-old Stevie Carr suffered engine trouble as Carr was traveling on the way home. Carr reportedly exited the vehicle around 1 a.m. and was struck shortly after by a vehicle that struck her and the vehicle. Carr was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Carr reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening before the crash.
