What Happened

Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials have identified the person killed in a crash at State Hwy 7 in Atoka County, OK on June 20th, 2023. Police say it happened around 7:30 a.m. and named 40-year-old West Barris as the victim. Investigators believe a pickup truck occupied by Barris was headed westbound before colliding head-on with a westbound semi-truck. The collision left Barris with fatal injuries at the scene. Police did not comment on the condition of the other driver and had no additional information to share.
