What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Hwy 38 in Portland, OR on July 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla operated by 24-year-old Cedric Lossing was headed eastbound when it reportedly passed a motor home. The Toyota is said to have crossed a center line before colliding head-on with a Jeep Cherokee operate by 60-year-old Cathy Fore. A dump truck behind Jeep operated by 60-year-old David Buoy veered into an eastbound lane to avoid a collision and struck a Ford _150 which then struck another dump truck. 70-year-old Keep passenger, 70-year-old Patrick Culbertson, was hospitalized with injuries he later died from. Lossing and Fore were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
