State Police are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-80 in Union County, PA on April 3rd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:38 a.m. According to investigators, an eastbound tractor-trailer collided with the rear of a minivan. Officers suspect the minivan was stopped or traveling below the posted speed limit before the collision. The impact pushed the van into a guard rail and caused fatal injuries to a 5-year-old child in the vehicle. The other occupants were not injured.
