What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-80 in Union Twp, PA on May 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:22 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Dart operated by 24-year-old Corey O'Donnell was headed eastbound on I-80 as traffic around slowed for construction in the area. Police allege the vehicle was traveling around 70 mph in the slowing traffic prior to colliding with the rear of a dump truck traveling around 5 mph. O'Donnell suffered fatal injuries at the scene while the truck driver was not injured.
