What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that led to the death of a motorcyclist at Route 901 in Foster Twp, PA on September 23rd, 2021. Police say it happened around 5:19 p.m. A semi-truck headed northbound is said to have crossed a southbound lane in order to make a left turn. In the process, the truck cut into the path of a southbound motorcycle that had little to no time to react. The motorcycle collided with the truck and the biker, identified as 20-year-old Gregory M Calkins, died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. The driver of the truck, 51-year-old William D Thomas II, faces Carless Driving charges.
