What Happened

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-81 in East Hanover Twp, PA on November 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2:27 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is said to have collided with the rear of a second tract0r-trailer under unclear circumstances. From there, reports say a Subaru Outback collided with there rear of the second truck, the impact sending the vehicle into an adjacent lane where it struck a Hyundai Elantra. Officials say the Hyundai caught fire, leaving 27-year-old occupant, James Stokes, fatally injured. Officials say the Subaru operator, identified as 23-year-old Neekimu Jardim Jr. was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
