Police are saying the incident happened around 8:13 a.m. According to investigators, 26-year-old Quinton J. Heckard was allegedly the operator of a vehicle parked in a shoulder of I-81. Reports claim Heckard was standing outside the vehicle in or near main lanes of travel as a semi-truck approached. Authorities say Heckard was stuck by the semi-truck and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
